Bio
Quist – aka Jacob Quistgaard – is an award-winning Danish guitarist and singer-songwriter living in London. He started playing guitar at age 6 – moving to London in his teens to study at the (now-defunct) UK version of Musicians Institute (G.I.T), where he was awarded the title “Outstanding Guitarist of the Year” - after which he landed a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music. Having his recording debut for Sony Music Denmark whilst still studying, Quist has since released 2 solo albums on acoustic guitar and had more than 20 of his songs featured on TV, DVD releases and radio stations. He is also a tutor at Tech Music School in London – and has been on the panel as a judge in BBC’s Global Search for Talent ‘The Next Big Thing’. Quist is an active session guitarist as well, having already appeared across UK, USA, Canada, Europe and Russia at major festivals, in front of crowds of more than 30.000 people. His first book (on Rock Guitar) will be released worldwide by Parragon in 2011. He's currently recording his first solo album on electric guitar...
